Mumbai is always buzzing with new places to have food and chill at. Here, after some digging, we bring you four happening places which have recently opened its door to the foodies of Mumbai. From simple Café to happening night-out spots, here are few of the new places that absolutely must have on your checklist.
The Filly Cafe
The FiLLi Café is a branch of the chain that has already established its base in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. It has recently opened its outlet in Carter Road and Breach Candy, and will soon open in Andheri West. This dim-lighted but cozy place takes pride in the hospitality it has to offer. They bring in the concept of Tea ‘n’ Talk, with a blend of flavors that constitute their menu of teas. They also serve a variety of burgers that make your mouth water.
Located at the upper, quieter end of Carter Road’s khau galli, with a bright fuchsia pinkest up, and a colourful glass milk bottle window display, this “yet-another-burger-joint” makes a confidant debut. Plump rosemary-scented chicken patties topped with garlic and cheese sauce and served with cooling coleslaw on whole wheat buns was what the Chicken Bro burger was all about. Generously portioned and ridiculously well-priced were the Cheesy Home-Made Hand-Cut Fries and they won’t fail to impress.
The Junkyard Cafe
The Junkyard Café is unique in its decor; it has exposed brick walls, faded posters of legendary icons like Marilyn Monroe and bits and bobs which would be home in an automatic’s shop like gas cylinders, stop and parking signs and several decrepit looking vehicles. The menu includes North Indian, Mediterranean an American fare as well as quirky sounding cocktails like the ‘Metal Bender’ and the ‘Maple Wood Salvage Fluid’. The Junkyard Café is a place which will be often be visited by those who like to keep it casual and enjoy a satiating meal in a funky environment.
Tea Villa Café
Tea Villa Café has sure established itself in our hearts with amazing food and lip smacking deserts. But the new branch that has opened in Grant Road in South Mumbai is a visual treat as well. The Café’s exterior is set up in such a way that it gives it a rather rustic, vintage look and it is now known to be attracting people from all parts of the city to just experience the ambiance the place is serving. From having peri peri fries to the most relaxing hot chocolate, this Tea Villa is exactly where you wanna be.
